1. Application Form – Prospective students interested in applying to ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ must submit the application form through ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ does not accept the Common Application. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age.

2. Admission Essay – Applicants must submit a structured and personal application essay designed to assess their spiritual journey and calling to ministry, motivation for studying at ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½, understanding of theological and ministerial vocation, time management skills, academic readiness, study planning, tentative future plans and alignment with the mission, confession, and values of the University.

3. High School or Postsecondary School Transcript – Applicants to ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½'s undergraduate degree programs must submit an official high school transcript from the public, private, or home school or official transcripts undertaken at all colleges or universities. Applicants who have not graduated from high school must attain the General Educational Development (GED) certificate prior to admission and, if available, submit their high school transcript covering the period of attendance.

Applicants are responsible for making sure their transcript is sent directly from the issuing educational institution's Registrar Office to the email address of the Admissions Office at admissions@olivetuniversity.edu or mailed directly from the issuing educational institution to the following address of ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½:

4. Test Scores – Submission of SAT, ACT, or CLT scores is voluntary for applicants to ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½. These scores may be used by the University to evaluate a student’s academic readiness. If an applicant submits multiple score reports, the highest score earned in each sub-score section will be used.

5. Program Language Proficiency

A. ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ requires the submission of evidence for proficiency in the language of instruction. Instructions offered are only in the language(s) of the specific degree program enrolled/applied for. See the section on "Program Language Proficiency Requirements" below. ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ offers the following types of programs.

Note: Students enrolled in any of the programs described may demonstrate proficiency in additional languages of instruction throughout the course of study. Even though this allows registration of additional courses as they are available, more than half (50%) of the program must be completed in the original program language, or a change of program must be applied for.

B. Transcripts not in English must be evaluated by an appropriate third party and translated into English or evaluated by a trained transcript evaluator fluent in the language on the transcript. In this case, the evaluator must have expertise in the educational practices of the country of origin and include an English translation of the review.

6. Recommendations – Applicants are required to submit the following recommendations through standardized forms or questionnaires sent by OU to their referees’ email addresses, which may include spiritual, academic, and ministry/character evaluations. Please note that recommendations may not be provided by immediate family members or spouses.

· Pastoral Recommendation: One reference letter must be provided by a pastor within the applicant’s local Olivet Assembly (OA) church, or by a chaplain or spiritual leader who can verify the applicant’s current spiritual condition, involvement, and standing within the church community.

· Academic Recommendation: At least one reference letter must be provided by a teacher, academic instructor, or academic counselor of the applicant to evaluate the applicant’s capacity to study and thrive in a higher education setting.

Note 1: If such a recommendation is unavailable, the applicant should provide a formal written explanation.

· Ministry Recommendation: Applicants who are actively engaged in ministries are required to have a reference letter submitted from their ministry leader. This reference letter should attest to the applicant’s contributions in both spiritual and practical areas of ministry involvement.

Note 2: If a recommendation from a ministry leader is unavailable, applicants may submit either of the following alternative references:

- A recommendation from a committed member of the Olivet Assembly church who has previously served as the applicant’s faculty member

- A recommendation letter from another pastor within the applicant’s local OA church.

These alternatives may be particularly appropriate in the following circumstances:

- Applicants with limited ministry involvement due to visa status or other personal circumstances

- Applicants whose pastor also serves as their ministry leader - Recent high school graduates who have not yet had the opportunity to participate actively in a ministry context.

Additional Note: Additional recommendation letters may be required depending on specific program requirements. The University reserves the right to determine the acceptance and adequacy of all submitted recommendations.

7. Statement of Faith – Applicants are required to sign ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½'s Statement of Faith.

8. Application Fee – Applicants are required to submit a $75.00 non-refundable application fee.

ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ reserves the right to interview an applicant if deemed necessary after reviewing the student’s application information. The interview may take place via Zoom or in person. In this context, the admission decision will be made after the interview is conducted and evaluated by the Admissions Committee.

Besides, ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ reserves the right to request additional documentation, assessments, interviews, or letters of recommendation as needed to make a complete determination of an applicant's suitability for the program.
